Any-whoo...a group of us went to the festival Friday after work. We drank beers, ate bratwursts and played games. Oh, and we bought comically large mugs from which to drink. For $20 we each got a mug, plus a complimentary LITER of beer. It was heavy, but lots of fun lugging it around while we perused the souvenirs and arcade games.
At some point in the evening our group managed to make friends with one of the owners of a brewery, Twin Lakes, that was there selling his beer. Somehow Yesenia kept getting free beer from him. And everyone was swarming around him trying to snag a job. I'm sure he won't remember any of us, as he was drinking his own beer heavily as well. But it was fun times.
The rest of the weekend I've been spending working on some illustrations and a logo for my parent's flooring business.
I'm hoping one day I could have a nice collection of all the Katamari cousins. Or at the least, a handful of my favorite ones.

Twenty bucks?! When I worked at the Cambridge, we used to sell mugs like that on mug night for two bucks! No wonder we were packed...

well, you might like to know that october fests actually being at the end of september, so you're golden. and those are totally like the mugs we get at the fests here in germany (i only go to volksfests, but my husband did go to an october fest in munich), and $20 is about right if you got to keep the mug.
the drawing is too cute... reminds me of those weighted beans my kid plays with.
haha...awesome! Yeah, we all did the math and figured...we were going to be buying cups of beer anyways...and since the mug holds about 3 beers..at $4 a beer, if we bought 3 separately that would be $12. So $8 for a souvenir mug doesn't sound so bad.
I'm feeling a Plini attack coming on...
