a snack and a sale.

I'm thinking today when Lou picks me up from work I'm going to force him to drive to the food store so I can pick up some avocados. I've been fantasizing about guacamole for days now. I wish I could have the self control to make it last longer than one sitting. Avocados are expensive!
I don't do anything too special for making guacamole and I'm sure there's other recipes out there that are better than mine but here's how I do it (at the request of another)

AT LEAST two avocados
1 chopped tomoato (larger chop equals more chunky)
1/2 chopped onion (larger chop equals more chunky)
cilantro (as much as you can get your hands on)
garlic powder (a sprinkling)
1/2 tsp chopped garlic (from the little jar)
juice from 1-2 limes
s&p

I like my guacamole chunky so I just mash the avocado with a fork until it's a good consistency for me and then throw in all of the other ingredients. I like to add tomato and onion because I think it stretches the guacamole further. One time I added fresh jalepeno...that was good too. The more ya add, the more ya got. And the lime juice is key! I like to squeeze fresh limes into the guacamole right before I eat it.



Now that I'm drooling..I did have one other thing to mention. I'll be listing a bunch of items I have piling up *on sale!* in the upcoming days. Pendants and charms and such. Trying to clear out the stock for the fresh and new. Super affordable..so keep your eyes peeled!

Ah ha, so that's the secret, fresh lime juice. Don't use fresh jalapenos for a while--they say that's where the salmonella is coming from.

We were just looking at your stuff in the shop. Can you get any cuter? I like how you now have them in categories.

even if it's from my own jalepeno plant? c'mon ...jalepenos now? ? nothing is safe to eat anymore.

oh, i LOVE avocados and I LOVE guacamole. My dad use to make his "famous" guac for me all the time. and he use to say the same thing...lime juice is the secret.
